Seawater Desalination Pretreatment

Ultrafiltration is just like setting up an efficient filter in front of a sophisticated machine (seawater desalination equipment), filtering out large particles and colloidal impurities in advance, reducing the risk of pollution and damage to subsequent equipment (such as reverse osmosis membranes). Because if these impurities enter the reverse osmosis system, it will lead to clogging of the reverse osmosis membrane and reduce its performance and service life.

Removing microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses in seawater can not only prevent the breeding and reproduction of microorganisms in the desalination equipment, but also avoid the impact of these microorganisms on the quality of desalinated water. The seawater after ultrafiltration pretreatment is more in line with the influent requirements of reverse osmosis membranes.
